SEO for fun and profit!

Search Engine Optimization improves your rankings in the search engines like Google or Yahoo naturally, or”organically” . Organic SEO is the single most cost-effective strategy for your website because if people cannot find you, they will not buy your product or service.

In optimizing your site, on site optimization is the process of changing the html code, content, and urls, etc. on your site. Every major page of your site needs to be optimized to make it easier for the search engines to find you.

Off-site SEO is the process that takes the longest. Backlinks must be found for your site so that the search engines think your site is relevant for the keywords chosen.  Good backlinks are the best way to drive traffic to your site.

There are lots of places to find info for search engine optimization, or you can find someone to do it for you, like this SEO firm in The Woodlands.

Why Do I Want To Go To Your Site, Anyway?

Why does someone want to come to your site, anyway? What’s in it for them? Those are the questions to ask before you post something on your blog or website. What do you need to get visitors to want your product?

• Free educational offers that are convincing and that make your visitors want to hear more about what you have to say

• A page they have to complete to get the offer

• A call to action on the blog that will guide people to the landing page

Visitors to your site do not want to buy what you have unless they believe that you understand their problem and can solve their problem for them. They don’t really care about what you want to sell them or how much it is until they understand that they may need it. It’s your job to make them feel they need your product.

Unfortunately, it’s extremely difficult to make people feel they need your product. There are questions you should ask yourself while you are in the process of making your educational offer.  What market or person wants your product? How does your product solve their problem? Why should they choose you to solve their problem?

Your blurb should look something like this: Drive traffic to your site in 11 days with free internet marketing training!

If you want to convert traffic, solving your visitors’ problems is a necessity.

If you liked this post, comment below or Tweet and if you don’t do that, at least try 11 days of free internet marketing training and drive traffic to your site!

Top Ten Internet Marketing Gurus!

If you want to learn all about Internet marketing, a great way to do so is to visit the blogs and websites of the Internet marketing gurus.

Below, in my opinion (not in any particular order!), are the 10 Internet Marketing specialists:

  1. Andy Beal specializes in Internet marketing, training, speaking, consulting, and writes a popular blog called Marketing Pilgrim. He has also written a book about online reputation management called “Radically Transparent”.
  2. Brian Chappell is a search engine optimization and social media specialist. He is also a blogger who blogs about getting back links, analytics, conversion, directories, and more.
  3. Newspaper Girl, i.e. Janet Meiners Thaeler loves public relations and social media. She is an Internet marketer and writer specializing in search engine optimization and blogging.

  4. David Risley is a professional blogger and Internet entrepreneur who brings in a healthy six figures with his online businesses.
  5. Darren Rowse with ProBlogger is dedicated to sharing his skills and experiences as a blogger and helping others promote and make money from their blogs. He has written thousands of articles, tutorials, and tips.
  6. Matt Cutts works for Google as a software engineer and is an expert in search engine optimization. We know Internet marketers are always trying to stay one step ahead of Google for SEO purposes and he may be a good person to follow!
  7. Jeremy Schoemaker with Shoemoney gives you tools, podcasts, and educational material like the Xtreme Internet Marketing Program so you can have “skills to pay the bills”.
  8. John Chow is not an internet marketer, per se, but has one of the largest hardware tech sites, with over 10,000 pages and 200,000 page views per day. Wow!
  9. Chris Brogan specializes in social media and developing digital relationships for businesses, individuals, etc. His blog was among the top 100 of Technorati and among the top 10 of Advertising Age Power150.
  10. Justin and Chaunna Brooke are experts in search engine optimization, website flipping, driving traffic to your website, blogging, teaching others about Internet marketing…you name it and they know it (and can teach you, as well)!

There are lots of great Internet marketers out there. These are just a few that I know about and hopefully you can learn more about Internet marketing and driving traffic to your site by reading and following the advice of these experts.
